PlateHarbor fetches official renewal and emissions sources, stores raw snapshots, extracts the practical fields people need, and publishes them as public pages and API responses.

Structuring process

Fetch the primary source page or program page.
Store raw source material for traceability.
Extract action-driving fields like fees, age thresholds, exemptions, renewal methods, and official links.
Update the public page and API response without republishing the whole site.

Freshness and provenance

State and county pages should expose an official source URL when known.
Last-synced timestamps indicate when the current page data was last refreshed.
If a record lacks source metadata, treat it as lower-confidence than a source-backed page.
